Passport

Passport Requirements for Afghanistan

The Embassy will issue new passports to Afghan citizens. Applicants are required to:

  1. Send at least one document proving their Afghan nationality, e.g.: National Identity Card (Tazkara), old Afghan passport etc. Fill in the Passport Application Form. Send 3 passport photographs. Send equivalent to 105 EUR (for 5 years passport) or 25 EUR (for 1 year passport).
  2. Those Afghan citizens who do not have above mentioned documents, but have any ID documents from other countries, require their nationality to be confirmed by 2 other Afghan citizens.

The Embassy advises applicants to send their documents by registered mail or a similar secure courier service.
