The Afghan visa requirements for foreigners

In order to receive an Afghan visa, one should:

- Fill in the Visa Application Form and sign personally;
- Attach two recent passport-size photos;
- Attach a letter of introduction from your employer or sponsor
stating the purpose and duration of your trip,
sponsorship information and financial guarantee for
expenses that you will incur in Afghanistan.
- Pay visa fee by transfer to our bank account, please find details below; we do not accept cash;

Types of visa we issue:
1. Single entry visa, valid three months and 15 days duration of stay.
2. Tourist visa valid three months and 30 days duration of stay.
3. Three months multiple entry (Business Visa )
4. Six months multiple entry (Business Visa)
5. Media visa valid three months and 30 days duration of stay

VISA PROCESSING FEES:

Single Entry (Business)	30 EUR + Bank Charges
Tourist Visa	30 EUR + Bank Charges
Media Visa	30 EUR + Bank Charges
Three Months Multiple Entry (business short-trips)	80 EUR + Bank Charges
Six Months Multiple Entry (business short-trips)	120 EUR + Bank Charges

*(Note: Those employees of business companies who wish to work in Afghanistan obtain only single entry Visa from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Warsaw; they can get their work or multiple entry visa in Kabul from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.)

-IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are sending your application requirements by mail or courier service, please include a prepaid, self-addressed return envelope. We suggest you use (DHL or FedEx) Express Mail or any traceable courier service to ensure the safety of your passport.

The visa application of a foreign national must be approved by the Afghan Foreign Affairs Ministry. This will normally take maximum two weeks.

Information for Afghans
Afghans born in Afghanistan, holding passports other than Afghan, do not need to apply for a visa. An entry permit may be obtained from the consular office. The entry permit can be downloaded from this website Passport section.
