China makes financial contribution to Afghan Presidential Elections
The government of the People’s Republic of China has made a financial contribution in the amount of $500,000 for up-coming presidential elections in Afghanistan. The contribution was made on the basis of the agreement reached between Foreign Minister Spanta and his Chinese counterpart during the recent official visit to China.
The People’s Republic of China has so far pledged in various international conferences one-hundred-seventy million dollars for Afghanistan’s reconstruction and is among the countries with the largest investment in Afghanistan.
