Charge d'Affairs of the Pakistani Embassy summoned

Jul 08, 2008 (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kabul)

On Monday, July 7, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan summoned the Pakistan Embassy’s Charge d’Affairs and expressed its excessive protest  for one of the Pakistani ex-parliamentarians, Shah Abdulaziz’s recent remarks, through which he announced “Jihad” against NATO- and U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan.
In this objection, expressed by Mr. Abdul Samad, the Director General of the MFA 1st Political Dept., to Mr. Diar Khan, Charge d’Affairs of the Pakistani Embassy, these remarks were condemned and considered as irresponsible and against all principles of national sovereignty and international principles.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarded Pakistani ex-parliamentarian’s remarks as an interference in the internal issues and intolerable for Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs insists that the Pakistani government impede such evident interference in the internal matters of Afghanistan.
