Minister Sangin added that the Ministry of Communications and IT signs the contract with GTR the Malaysian based company after transparent international bidding process and finally the contract was awarded to them.                           The GTR is required to equip the National Data Center and implement the project within the six months at a total cost of 4.5 million SD. The aforementioned money will be paid from the development budget of the Ministry provided by the Ministry of Finance.

After the establishment of the National Data Center, all documents and information of government agencies will be saved electronically, and these agencies will be connected with each other by optical fiber and through this way they will be able to have access to related databases located in the center.

National Data Center is the only place for keeping and saving the essential documents of the country where documents are saved electronically and it is one of the reliable places for saving essential information of the government and meanwhile one of the important infrastructures of the Information Technology in the country.

Ministry's officials say that by creation of this center, the existing administrations of the government will be improved and the bureaucracy will be avoided and the efficiency of the government agencies will be increased.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister Technical, Deputy Minister Administration, high officials of the ministry and representatives of media.
