Ambassador of Afghanistan in Warsaw meets H.E. Mr. Stanisław Karczewski, Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland

H.E. Mr. Gul Hussain Ahmadi, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, met H.E. Mr. Stanisław Karczewski, Marshal (Speaker) of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, on Tuesday 28th November 2017.

The meeting between H.E. Mr. Ambassador and H.E. Marshal of the Senate took place in the Polish Senate. The Marshal of the Senate H.E. Mr. Karczewski congratulated the Ambassador of Afghanistan on his mission to Poland and appreciated the historical bilateral relations of Poland and Afghanistan. H.E. Mr. Karczewski noted that Afghanistan is an important friend for Poland, and although he had never been to Afghanistan before, he followed the situation in the media.

Moreover, the Afghanistan Ambassador Mr. Ahmadi conveyed the gratitude message of the President and the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the People of Afghanistan to the Polish Senate for the assistance and support of Government and People of Poland. He emphasized the contribution of the Polish forces in NATO mission to the improvement of the security situation in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is eager to enhance its bilateral relations with Poland not only in the political and security areas, but also in many other fields, such as economy, culture, education and trade. Ambassador of Afghanistan to Poland also briefed the Speaker of the Polish Senate about the current situation and the achievements of Afghanistan in the last 16 years in different fields. He also added that Afghanistan bilateral relations with Poland had started on November 3, 1927, and developed significantly in the recent sixteen years.

In return, H.E. Mr. Karczewski also emphasized the enhancement of the bilateral relations between Poland and Afghanistan, and conveyed his wishes of peace and prosperity to the People of Afghanistan.
